PROJECTS
Land Acquisiton
We have the proven model to break the cycle of homelessness and domestic violence, but a transformative vision needs a permanent home. Right now, our promise of healing and empowerment is limited without a campus to call our own. This land in Fort Washington will be more than just property; it will be the foundation for safe housing, social enterprise businesses, and a true community of recovery. By securing this land, we are building an irrevocable asset for the women and children we serve, ensuring our program's stability for generations to come. Your investment in this dirt and stone is the ultimate down payment on lifelong self-sufficiency for countless families. This campus is the critical missing piece that will allow us to move from a powerful idea to a permanent force for change. Help us break ground on more than just a building, but on hundreds of new lives.

Develop the Land
Once the land is secured, we will transform the vacant plot into a vibrant campus for healing and empowerment. Land development is the critical, unglamorous work that turns a vision into a safe, functional reality—from installing utilities and access roads to creating a secure and accessible environment. This phase builds the essential foundation upon which our work will literally stand. Funding this stage means pouring the concrete for pathways to safety, laying the pipes for sustainable independence, and wiring the grid for lasting change. By investing in development, you are not just preparing a site; you are actively constructing the stable foundation that trauma survivors so desperately need to rebuild their lives. This is the pivotal step where architectural plans meet the ground, ensuring our promise becomes a permanent sanctuary. Your support will build the bedrock for a future where women and children can finally, and safely, thrive.

Accessory Dwelling Units ADUs
We believe that true healing begins with a place to call home—not just a temporary bed, but a private, dignified space where a mother and her children can feel safe. We are ready to purchase six beautiful, move-in-ready Accessory Dwelling Units to create precisely that environment on our campus, each one large enough to comfortably house a woman with up to three children. These are not institutional rooms; they are complete homes with their own kitchens, bathrooms, and front doors, designed to restore privacy and autonomy to families who have had it stripped away. By funding these six ADUs, you are directly purchasing the foundation of stability that allows our holistic program of therapy, job training, and financial planning to take root and flourish. Each unit becomes a tangible promise of security, a place where a child can do their homework and a mother can dream again, all within the supportive embrace of our community. This investment doesn't just provide temporary shelter; it builds the cornerstone of lasting self-sufficiency for six families at a time, year after year. Help us open these doors and turn a house into a home, and a crisis into a future.

Training & Career Academy
True independence is built on economic freedom, and for survivors of domestic violence and homelessness, a job is more than a paycheck—it's a passport to a self-determined life. That’s why the cornerstone of our corporate campus will be The Promise Career & Training Academy, a dedicated center where women will gain the in-demand skills to not just get a job, but launch a sustainable career. This Academy will move beyond traditional training by offering certified programs in high-growth fields like administrative tech, and more, all within our trauma-informed and supportive environment. Your investment will fund the state-of-the-art equipment, specialized curriculum, and dedicated instructors needed to transform this vision into a powerful engine of empowerment. Here, a woman can rebuild her resume, her confidence, and her future, surrounded by a sisterhood that believes in her potential. This Academy is the critical link between safe shelter and true self-sufficiency, ensuring the women we serve never have to choose between safety and survival again. Fund the Academy, and you don't just teach a skill; you build an unshakable foundation for a life beyond the cycle of crisis.

Childcare Center & Daycare Academy
A mother's journey to self-sufficiency often hits an impossible barrier: she cannot go to work or a training class without safe, reliable childcare, yet she cannot afford that childcare without a job. The Promise Childcare Center & Daycare Academy is the essential solution, breaking this cruel paradox by providing on-campus, high-quality early childhood education at no cost to our resident mothers. This center offers more than just safety; it provides a nurturing, stimulating environment where children receive the foundational learning and social-emotional support to heal from their own trauma and prepare for school. For a mother, this is the gift of peace of mind, allowing her to fully focus on her vocational training, attend her therapy sessions, and excel at her job, knowing her children are just steps away in a place of love and learning. By investing in this Academy, you are directly enabling a mother's economic independence while simultaneously ensuring her children do not get left behind, breaking the cycle of poverty across two generations at once. This is where a mother's promise of a better life meets the practical support to make it a reality. Fund this vital center, and you don't just watch over children; you unlock the potential of entire families.

Recreation Center
We know that breaking the cycle of trauma requires healing the whole family, and that means giving children not just safety, but a chance to thrive. The Promise Recreation Center will be the vibrant heart of our campus, a dedicated hub where families rebuild their health through exercise and play, while also learning critical lessons about nutrition and lifelong wellness. Here, children will find more than just a playground; they will discover their potential through after-school tutoring that closes educational gaps, music programs that unlock creativity, and competitive sports teams that teach discipline and teamwork. This is where a child who has known chaos can find their rhythm in a drum circle, their confidence on the soccer field, and their future in a tutoring session. For mothers, it’s a place to join a wellness class, cheer on their children, and witness the vibrant, joyful futures they fought so hard to create. By funding the Recreation Center, you are building more than a gym—you are funding a launchpad for confidence, academic success, and healthy habits that will echo for generations. Help us create this essential space where families don't just recover, but where children can truly reclaim their childhood and compete for a brighter future.
