ABOUT US

Domestic violence is a leading cause of homelessness for women and children. Existing shelters are often overcrowded and under-resourced, with strict time limits that do not allow for full recovery and stabilization. Survivors face a complex web of challenges: trauma, lack of affordable housing, unemployment/underemployment, and legal issues. Without a clear path to financial stability, women often return to their abusers or remain trapped in cycles of poverty and homelessness.
My Sister's Promise provides more than just shelter; we offer an ecosystem of healing and opportunity. By marrying compassionate, comprehensive social services with a smart, revenue-generating business model, we create a sustainable solution to a deeply entrenched problem. We don't just offer a bed for the night; we invest in a woman's future, proving that with the right support, she can not only escape crisis but also build a prosperous, independent life for herself and her children. This is a compassionate investment in the strength of Maryland's women and the health of our entire community.
